Virginia single-trip oversize permit fee
$20 + $0.30/mile
That is the general Virginia single-trip oversize/overweight permit rate. The total depends on the route. We do not calculate routes. We publish what the state publishes.
Official page: “Single Trip One move between origin and destination. $20 Note: A mileage fee of 30 cents per mile is added if overweight or if the vehicle configuration cannot be licensed in Virginia. Mobile homes and Manufactured housing will pay a flat fee of $1.00 in lieu of the 30 cents per mile fee.”
| Printed line | Fee |
|---|---|
| Single trip | $20 |
| If overweight or unlicensed-in-VA | + 30 cents per mile |
| Mobile homes and manufactured housing | $1.00 flat in lieu of the mileage fee |
Example, not a quote: 100 assumed miles at the printed 30 cents per mile, plus $20, is $20 + $30.00 = $50.00. The desk runs its own miles. We do not take origin or destination.
