That is the general Pennsylvania single-trip oversize/overweight permit rate. The total depends on the route. We do not calculate routes. We publish what the state publishes.

Official “PERMIT FEES – EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025,” general single-trip types (66 Vehicle Oversize; 67 General/crane/excavator/loader/paver/scraper/truck/misc. vehicle):

WidthPrinted single-trip fee
If < 14' wide$46 + .04 ton-mile for overweight
If > 14' wide$97 + .04 ton-mile for overweight

The same $46 / $97 + .04 ton-mile line prints on other single-trip load types in that PDF (dozer, boat, crane, emergency, military certified, and others). Mobile home / modular housing is a different printed pair ($53 / $103) and is not the general headline.

PA Turnpike is a separate product. It is not the statewide highway number.

Example, not a quote: 100 assumed miles at the printed $0.04 per ton-mile on 20 excess tons, under 14' wide, is $46 + $80.00 = $126.00. The desk runs its own miles. We do not take origin or destination.

This page covers general single-trip permits. Annual, seasonal, and Turnpike permits are separate products.

When this number took effect

The official PDF prints PERMIT FEES – EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025. We are not inventing a different date.
